Save the characters you created
Reports indicate the official Character.AI export may not include your characters’ definitions. Copy each character you made into this form, then download a portable character card or a text file. Nothing is uploaded.
Where do I find these fields?
- On Character.AI, open a character you created and choose to edit it.
- Copy the Name, Tagline, Description and Greeting.
- Open the advanced settings and copy the full Definition. It can be long, so scroll to the end.
- Paste each one into the matching box below. Repeat for each character.
Menu names can change. You only need text you can see and copy yourself. Never give your password to a site or browser extension.
What you get
- Character card (PNG): an image with your character’s data embedded in the Character Card V2 format. Most apps and tools that support character cards can import it.
- JSON: the same card as a plain data file.
- Text file: a readable copy you can keep anywhere.
- Copy into Rochat: each part is mapped to a field in Rochat’s character creator and can be copied on its own, with
{{char}}and{{user}}converted to{char}and{user}.
Already have a PNG or JSON character card? Open it in the card converter.
Privacy
Everything you type stays in this browser (local storage) so you can come back later. It is never sent to our servers. To remove it, delete each character or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
